David Nath Productions

A former print journalist, Dave started at Granada. As a director he put Gordon Ramsay on TV in the seminal C4 series Boiling Point, then made several films including the critically-acclaimed Cutting Edge: Brian’s Story (Nominated 2001 RTS Best Doc). As an Exec Producer he oversaw the first ever rig series: The Family, the feature length doc Breaking Up With the Jones’s (both BAFTA nominated) and Emmy-winning factual drama Forgiven. He was head of docs at betty and ran the company for a while before returning to directing. His BBC series The Year The Town Hall Shrank won the 2013 Grierson Best Documentary Series with Time Out likening it to ‘The Wire’.

Dave is married with 3 children.

I’m an award-winning director with more than twenty years experience in TV. My appetite is for creative risk, to push the documentary form, to surprise and re-invent the genre. As well as Broadcast television, I’m keen to explore making documentary films for new platforms.

I’m currently developing a drama-documentary with C4 and a US-based Feature Documentary.
